ساحة تموز في الكوت، مكان يحتضن آمال العراقيين بالتغيير

ما أن تطلُّ من مكان مرتفع على باحة “ساحة تموز” التي تمثل واحداً من أهم الشواهد الحضارية في مدينة الكوت حتى تقع عينيك على اثني عشر عموداً خرسانياً تنتصب أفقياً داخل الساحة، كلٌّ منها يمثل غزالا منحنيا لشرب الماء، انها الساحة التي تحتضن المطالبين بالتغيير.
الساحة التي تتعامد عليها أربعة شوارع رئيسة تتميز بالكثافة العالية لحركة المركبات، وتقع في منتصف الطريق الرابط بين محافظتي بغداد بذي قار، لكنها اليوم تكتظ بالمتظاهرين.
تموز كانت المكان الذي اختاره أبناء المدينة عام 2007 حينما احتجوا على تردي الأوضاع الامنية والخدمية، وهي اليوم من الأماكن التي تحولت إلى أيقونة لرمزية الحراك الشعبي وحركة الاحتجاجات المتواصلة في محافظات وسط وجنوب العراق.
الساحة أنجزت عام 1963 مع مجموعة من المراكز المهمة مثل قاعة الإدارة المحلية والمكتبة المركزية وغيرهما وذلك في عهد متصرف الكوت أنور ثامر، وتشغل حيزاً على شكل دائرة نصف قطرها (75) متراً، وتتسرب المياه من وسطها عبر نافورة دائرية الشكل، وتغطي مختلف أجزاءها لتكوّن ما يمثل نبعاً، وهو ما يرمز للثورة حينها.
مكان الساحة الاستراتيجي ومظاهر الأشجار والورود المزروعة داخلها بشكل دائري، وجمالية توزيع الاضاءة الكهربائية، أضفى عليها لمسة جمالية، فيما “يتنافس المحتجون والقوى الأمنية طوال تاريخ حركة الاحتجاجات في الكوت في السيطرة عليها في عمليات كر وفر متواصلة.
المتظاهرون ينظرون الى المكان على انه الشاهد على صمود أبناء المدينة بمختلف تنوعاتهم وشجاعتهم في مواجهة الحكومات التي لا تعير أهمية لشعوبها “سيبقى هذا المكان يجمعنا مهما كانت الظروف والاحوال، حتى يتغير وضعنا نحو الافضل” يقول المتظاهر علي المتولي.
يقدم أهالي واقارب المتظاهرون وناشطون مدنيون وغيرهم خدمات عدة في المكان لاسيما الخدمات الطبية التي تطوع أطباء ومسعفين للقيام بها دون مقابل، كما ان قرب مكان الاحتجاج من مبنى ديوان محافظة واسط ورئاسة المجلس حال دون إمكانية الوصول الى مبنى ديوان المحافظة.
ووفقاً لما يقوله المهندس حمزة الزركاني معاون مدير بلدية الكوت فأن كلفة تنفيذ ساحة تموز ونافورتها التي استمدت اسمها من الحركة التي انطلقت آنذاك ضد الحكم الملكي بلغت حوالي أربعة عشر دينارا فقط، إذ دأب سكان المناطق القريبة من الساحة على الجلوس في حدائقها والاستمتاع بمناظرها والتمتع بشرب فنجان قهوة من المقاهي التي تنتشر على مقربة منها”.
اليوم تبدو المشاهد في ساحة تموز مختلفة إذ ترتفع الاعلام في ايدي المتظاهرين وتعلو الهتافات عند محيط الساحة ضد الفساد وتطالب بتغيير النظام وقانون الانتخابات والدستور العراقي وغيرها من المطالب التي يشترك بها المحتجون من جميع المدن العراقية.
