اسكافيو البصرة يقاومون الانقراض

وسط سوق البصرة القديمة تطل دكانة صغيرة لا تتسع لأكثر من لوازم العمل إضافة إلى تلفاز قدبم وساعة جدارية وعدد من الحقائب بعضها معلق على الحائط، بينما يعمل الاسكافي عبد الامير عبد الجليل البالغ من العمر (61 عاما) على خياطة وترقيع احذية زبائنه وحقائبهم وكل ما يلزم اصلاحه من اغراض جلدية.

يقول عبد الامير أنه زاول حرفته منذ كان في سن العشرين ويقول “امتهنت الحرفة على يد اسكافي هندي وبدأت خطواتي الأولى بتلميع الاحذية وإصلاحها ثم احترفت عملي، وأزعم أني اليوم اقدم اسكافي في سوق البصرة”.

عبد الأمير يصر على الاستمرار بحرفته برغم يده المرتعشة وضعف نظره وهو ما لم يقلل من براعته في الخياطة وتثبيت المسامير الناعمة لإصلاح ما تلف من الاحذية وخبرته التي مكنته من تمييز الجلد الاصلي عن سواه.

ويتحدث لمراسلة “المنصة” عن شغفه بحرفته “لم استطع ترك الاسكافية فأنا اعتبرها حرفة نظيفة ومريحة برغم انحسارها في وقتنا الحالي وقلة مردودها المالي”

ويرى ان اجتياح المستورد الرخيص للسوق وانعدام الدعم لليد العاملة أسهم في زوال العديد من المهن اليدوية، إذ اصبح الزبون يلجا الى الشراء بدل من اصلاح التالف بمبلغ زهيد. ويقول متذكرا “ازدهرت حرفتنا في الثمانينات والتسعينات إذ كان يحتاج الجنود إلى صلاح احذيتهم وعجلات العربات، وفي ايام خدمتي العسكرية مارست مهنتي خلال الاجازات”.

ويتابع “كنا نتولى خياطة العجلات وإعادة اصلاحها كما اضطر العراقيون في سنوات الحصار الدولي بعقد التسعينات إلى ادامة احذيتهم وحقائبهم بسبب تردي الوضع المعيشي وعدم قدرتهم على شراء الجديد”.

وفي سوق العشار ينزوي وليد أبو قيس (55 عاما) في دكانة إضاءتها شبه معدومة مكتفيا بنور الشمس، وهو يتكئ على ماكينة الخياطة بانتظار مرور احد الزبائن، بينما تلاحق عيناه اقدام المارة وأصوات الصغار والحمالين الذين يدفعون عرباتهم الخشبية المحملة بالبضاعة أو بأحدى العجائز التي لم تقدر على السير.

يقول أنه ورث حرفته اب عن جد وكانت بدايته في سن الثانية في سوق العشار وكان انذاك مركز تجمع الاسكافية المعروفين. وكانت بدايته سيئة إذ تسبب بتخريب سحّاب حقيبة أحدى السيدات ولكنها سامحته بسبب صغر سنه.

ويضيف لمراسل ” المنصة” عن اوضاعهم حاليا ” لقد تخلى الكثيرون عن حرفة الاسكافية لكونها حرفة تتطلب التحمل والصبر والدقة فاتجهوا لمزاولة مهن أخرى كالسياقة او حصلوا على وظائف في الشرطة او الجيش او الدوائر الاخرى”.

اما عن موسم عملهم فيقول ان ذروته تكون في موسم عودة المدارس والزيارات الدينية إلا ان ازمة كورونا اثرت بشكل كبير على مردود عملهم في الأشهر الماضية.

ويستخدم الاسكافيون انواعا مختلفة من القياطين والزناجيل باختلاف منشأها وألوانها وكذلك تختلف احجام السلاسل الصغيرة والمسامير التي يستخدمونها في اصلاح الاحذية.

على أن حرفة الاسكافية ما زالت تجد اقبالا من الشباب ففي دكان آخر على بعد بضعة امتار من دكان ابو قيس يحتل ليث عبد الله وهو في ربيعه العشريني مساحة صغيرة خلف ماكنته في محل صغير خصص أغلبه لبيع لعب الاطفال.

ويقول أنه اخذ الحرفة عن أبيه منذ كان في التاسعة من عمرة اذ تعلم اولا صباغة الاحذية ثم اتقن استخدام ماكينة الخياطة وصنارة الخياطة لاحقا. بينما اضطرته صعوبة المعيشة إلى ترك دراسته في صف السادس تطبيقي.

ويضيف “اخطط لإكمال دراستي لكني لن اتخلى عن حرفتي، مع أنها ليست حرفة سهلة فهناك مخاطر مستمرة احاول تفاديها كتجنب اختراق المخيط الذي نثقب به يدي، فهذه آداة حادة وخطرة ويتطلب انتزاعها اجراء عملية جراحية، إضافة إلى أننا نعاني من ارتفاع معدلات الايجارات في مقابل تراجع العمل خلال ازمة كورونا”.

وعن تحمل امزجة الزبائن يقول “اتعرض أحيانا للمضايقة من بعض الزبائن كأن يقوم أحدهم بدفع قدمه امامي بصورة مستفزة، لكني املك سعة الصبر والفطنة فربما يعاني الزبون من اعاقة في قدمه أو انه يتعمد ذلك، لذلك اطلب منه خلع حذائه والجلوس بضع دقائق، عملنا يتطلب التحمل”.

ويطمح ليث الى امتلاك محل اوسع وآلات متطورة تعيد لمهنتهم رونقها وأهميتها لكنه يشعر بالخيبة من الاهمال الذي يعانون منه ” لا أحد يهتم بنا اليوم حتى نقابات العمال التي كانت تزورنا وتتفقدنا اختفت بشكل غريب وتركونا وحيدين في مواجهة ضراوة السوق ”

وفي مواجهة ضراوة السوق يتحرك الاسكافي عبد الأمير ليسحب بيد مرتعشة حذاءً اكمل اصلاحه ويضعه في كيس نايلون صغير ويركنه على الرف بانتظار قدوم مالكه، ثم يتنهد ويقول(خليها على الله) منسجما مع ضميره كحرفي قديم يحب مهنته.
